DineLA Restaurant Week Starts Today
This huge list of restaurants can be daunting so here are my top picks to get you started.
This is a great way to give back to the businesses who made sure that the victims of the fires were fed (and continue to do so). They donated their own resources, time, and labor to fellow Angelenos and now it’s time to make sure they know how much we appreciate them. This isn’t just about restaurant week, many restaurants have been closing for a while now but these businesses and the people they employ are vital to our city. Just my two cents. But I’ll get on with it.

Uchi
I’ve eaten at Uchi when I visited Austin and I loved it. So if you haven’t tried this sushi spot this is a good chance to sample different menu items.
Baar Baar
I will always fuck up their Duck Birria Tacos. It’s one of my favorite dishes I’ve had in LA. Seems odd coming from an Indian restaurant, but trust me.
Tacolina
This is a brand new restaurant in Silverlake, so while I have never gone here before I think it’s a great low stakes way to sample some of their dishes.
Tonchin
I’d go for lunch, so I could get their fried fish bun but their dinner option comes with their shaved ice so either way you can’t go wrong.
Here’s to Looking at You
This restaurant is for the real foodies and gastronomy connoisseurs
Danbi
Danbi is the same team behind Koreatown’s popular Liu’s Cafe and the former Tokki, this should be a restaurant on your list of places to try.
Great Deals:
Izakaya Osen
If you’ve eaten here, you know that this is a fantastic deal whether for lunch or dinner. Their sushi is impeccable quality. I’m definitely going to try going for lunch.
Sampa
Sampa is usually pretty pricey, so to get three courses for $45 or $65 is insane for this Filipino Restaurant. I’d list what to get but it would be basically the entire menu.
Jemma Hollywood
Sister restaurant to Ospi, so you can expect similar quality and menu items. They have an amazing caesar salad and lemon cheesecake. This is perfect if you don’t want to drive all the way to Venice or Brentwood.
Gracias Madre
Completely vegan, 3 courses for a good price compared to their normal menu.
L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele
I just went here and it’s such a solid Italian restaurant. You can’t go wrong with the Caesar salad or the Gnocco Fritto, they are both incredible. If you like Neapolitan pizza you’ll love this place.
Carousel
Vegan menu option for both lunch and dinner. You get a lot of dishes to be shared family style and a drink.
