Steamy Lit: Sign Up to be a Lit Con Volunteer
June 15th is the Deadline
Steamy Lit Con is a romance book convention with two full days (Oct 31-Nov 1) of building relationships, connecting with other romance readers and authors, and talking about your favorite characters! We will have several different panels, keynote speakers, 2 signing sessions to get your items and books signed by your favorite romance author. Tickets are over $350 so if you want to go but can’t pay, sign up to volunteer!

Silent Book Club June Meet Ups
June 8th from 1pm-3pm at Woodley Park in Encino – No RSVP is required. We’ll be outside on the grass, so bring a blanket or chair to sit on.
June 17th from 7pm-9pm at GuildHall Bar in Burbank – RSVPs are required and you must be 21+ to attend. RSVP HERE
June 21st from 10am-12pm *and our summer session from 11:30am-1:30pm* at Pan Pacific Park located near The Grove – No RSVP required. Reading hours will begin at 10:30am for the morning session, and 12:00pm for the afternoon session. Join us in the morning or the afternoon, or stay for both! Remember to bring a blanket or chair to sit on as we will be on the grass.
June 29th from 1pm-3pm at Equator Coffees in Culver City – No RSVP required, but seating inside fits about 30 or so people, so any overflow will be seated on the outside patio and/or on the lawn.
Reading Rhythms Los Angeles Chapter
June 22 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Tucked in a sun-drenched corner of Eagle Rock, Creature’s Plants & Coffee is a café-meets-nursery that feels like a secret garden. Bring a book you’re excited to spend time with, and we’ll guide the rhythm of the afternoon with: Structured silent reading, Optional 1-on-1 breakouts, Nature-inspired prompts and conversation themes to help us tune into our surroundings. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and stay late—grab a drink, explore the plants, and make yourself at home.
LA Book Besties: June Meet Up (New Members)
June 22 starting at 1pm
Valley Village Park, grass area by Addison St and Westpark Dr intersection. Bring: blanket/chair to sit on, maybe a snack/coffee. Sign up to become a member and attend!
Preoccupied Book Club Walk: JORDAN ROTER
June 22 starting at 11 am
JOIN PREOCCUPIED FOR A MOMS LIKE US BOOK CLUB WALK WITH AUTHOR JORDAN ROTER! Walk around Santa Monica and discuss MOMS LIKE US with the author! We will finish our walk at Zibby’s Bookshop. RSVP at the link!
Boutique Book Fair: Romance Readers Edition
June 29 from 1 - 5 pm
Join us for the Boutique Book Fair: Romance Reader Edition at @commonspacela Enjoy a FREE whimsical afternoon celebrating fabulous women-owned businesses based in SoCal — from a beautiful romance book truck to bookish merch, flash tattoos, tarot readings and even romance authors selling and signing their books (more to come soon!). Come sip, shop, craft, and connect with the best of the LA romance book community.
@laloverofbooks: Laguna Beach Book Swap
June 29 - Breakfast starts at 10 am, Book Swap at 12:30 pm
Bring a book (or a few!) and leave with something new to read. We’ll meet at the iconic lifeguard tower at Main Beach and enjoy a chill afternoon of book-loving community. Come solely for our book swap OR you're welcome to make a day out of it and join for breakfast at Driftwood Kitchen and a visit to Laguna Beach Books.
*RSVP is required if you'd like to be added to our Breakfast Reservation. RSVP is not required to attend the Book Swap, although it's always helpful to know who plans to come!
LB Book Worms June Meet ups
June 5th from 6 - 8pm at Cool Cat Collective! Come hang out with cool kitties and read in community with fellow book lovers on Thursday, June 5th from 6-8pm. We will spend the first hour reading and the second hour will be time to socialize, chat, and play with the kitties! $15 per person - 100% of funds raised will be donated to our rescue partner TippedEars. Participation is limited to 25 for space purposes. Attendees must be old enough to be able to independently silently read for an hour.
June 7 from 11 am to 3 pm - Picnic Style Reading Party at Rose Park
